“Gising,” meaning “Wake up” in Tagalog, is a small collection of illustrations featuring hand-sewn flowers crafted from sheer fabric. Inspired by a story of a girl daydreaming, exploring a different world and waking in her everyday life unable to reconnect with her emotions.

The illustrations were created on watercolour paper using pencils, gouache, and watercolour, then scanned and assembled with tracing paper along with hand-sewn flowers crafted from sheer fabric and secured with a silver fastener.
